One of the leading Russian musicians specialising in the performance of medieval music. Director of the early music ensembles "Labyrinthus" (Switzerland - Russia), "Universalia in Re" and "Medievallica", artistic director of the Moscow international festival of medieval music "Musica Mensurata" (2014-2022). Author of the book "Musical History of Medieval Europe" (Музыкальная история Средневековой Европы in Russian, 2019), articles, lectures and a series of podcasts on medieval music culture. Creator and author of the VK community "Musica Mensurata" and the Telegram channel of the same name.
Danil Ryabchikov studied on workshops of B. Bagby, D. Vellard, M. Lewon, A. Broegg, P. Hamon and others, participated in common projects with N. Rodenkirchen (“Sequentia”, “Dialogos”), M. Lewon (“Ensemble Leones”), S. Lutzenberger (“Per-sonat”, “Huelgas Ensemble”), B. Romain (“La Miroir de Musique”, “Ensemble Leones” ), H. Marti (“Sequentia”), Marc Mauillion and others. Ensembles under the direction of Danil Ryabchikov had issued 9 CDs with 12th–14th centuries music on different labels (“Raumkang,” “Sketis music,” etc.).
